Double the Fun: Power Pilates for Two
ABOUT
Hello, I’m Samantha Jones (but you can call me Sam), a Physiotherapist, Pilates instructor and founder of CHPP.
Health and Fitness has always been an important part of my life. From school P.E lessons, sports days, and holiday sports camps I knew I wanted to do something in the health and fitness industry. This led me to train as a Physiotherapist after leaving school and I’ve never looked back.
15 years on, I have covered all areas of the profession but settled in the musculoskeletal (MSK) area of physiotherapy for the last 11 years. I am proud to work as an MSK Physiotherapist for the NHS and have recently completed a year working within a pelvic health team (as a secondment), which opened my eyes to a more niche area of my profession, and one I may well return to in the future.

During my time as a Physiotherapist, I have always taken care of my own health and fitness. It was when training for a Half Marathon about 8 years ago and becoming injured myself, that I took up Pilates as a way to compliment my passion of running…and found a new passion at the same time.
I continued attending Pilates classes through my first pregnancy, after which I trained myself with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute) to become a fully certified instructor.

Alongside basic, intermediate and advanced Matwork Pilates I have also trained to teach the Ante-Natal and Post-Natal population and Runners, and continue to widen my knowledge and skill set with regular CPD courses. In the long term I intend to branch out further, but not forgetting I have two young children to keep me on my toes, so this will come in time…good things come to those who wait☺
