ABOUT SAM
In brief...
Hello, I’m Samantha Jones (but you can call me Sam), a Physiotherapist, Pilates instructor and founder of CHPP.
Health and Fitness has always been an important part of my life. From school P.E lessons, sports days, and holiday sports camps I knew I wanted to do something in the health and fitness industry. This led me to train as a Physiotherapist after leaving school and I’ve never looked back.
After graduating in 2004, I covered all areas of the profession but have been settled in the musculoskeletal (MSK) area of physiotherapy since 2009. I am proud to work as an MSK Physiotherapist for the NHS and have recently taken the decision to specialised further within this area as a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist within my local trust (Stockport NHS Foundation Trust). I work with a wonderful team here and my Pilates compliments my Physio role and vice versa.

During my time as a Physiotherapist, I have always taken care of my own health and fitness. When training for a Half Marathon in 2012, I became injured myself, this led me to take up Pilates as a way to compliment my passion of running…and I found a new passion at the same time.
I continued attending Pilates classes through my first pregnancy, after which I trained myself with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute) to become a fully certified instructor.

Alongside beginner, intermediate and advanced mat-work Pilates I have also trained to teach the Ante-Natal and Post-Natal population, osteoporosis sufferers, runners, and 'Healthy HIIT' Pilates. My most recent string to the bow is a certification in 'Womens Health' Pilates and I'm pleased to say I'm now running two new classes a week to encompass this.
I plan to continue building my repertoire in the long term in order to branch out to an even wider range of clientele.
In the meantime, I have two young children to keep me on my toes, am an AVID runner. I hope to enrich my children's life with my own passion for health and fitness.
